ESPGHAN is a professional and scientific society which seeks to influence the standards of care for our patients and their families wherever we work. We consolidate our role in setting standards for education, training and clinical excellence within Europe by building on our friendship and collaboration to develop clinical and research networks, to strengthen our links with basic science and adult and paediatric societies internationally.
As part of our strategy for the next three years we have improved our profile in Europe through links with other Paediatric and Adult Societies and through a stronger relationship with NASPGHAN.
A key part of this strategy is to ensure that our greatest strength, our educational and scientific courses and summer schools take place in different parts of the world, ranging from Macedonia to China . We have reinforced our commitment to our young investigators and trainees to ensure they are supported and encouraged to take a constructive role within the society. We have developed a new membership category – Trainee Membership in order to allow trainees and recent faculty help us set our strategy as you will be the future of the society and future Committee and Council members.
We have extended our membership to nurses and dieticians so that we can all benefit from our multidisciplinary society in improving outcomes for children in Europe.
